Learning To Drive In An Automatic
Learning to drive in an automatic car is the choice of many new drivers. In the first place, it is much easier to learn in an automatic car than it is in a manual car. Secondly there is an ever growing choice of automatic cars to select from.
The downside to learning to drive in an automatic car in the UK is that one is restricted to driving an automatic. If you pass your test in a manual car you can drive both manual and automatic.
With such a large number of automatics on British roads you will not have difficulty in finding one in your price bracket. Websites such as Ebay and Gumtree offer value selections and of course there are all the Auto Trader style websites providing information on thousands of cars in all parts of the country.
My Driving School is based in Dundee in Scotland and I teach both Manual and Automatic. Often I will start a client off in a manual car, however if there is difficulty with changing gears and using the clutch, my clients have the option of switching over to an automatic.
